I’m a Christian. I believe in Jesus. I believe He came and died for our sins and will return again.

I always thought I was an evangelical Christian. Now, for the first time, I’m not sure exactly what I am. I’m questioning why the label matters.

There are so many different labels on Christianity, and I’m currently researching them. Some are religions; some could pass as cults. I’ve heard a lot of discussion as Catholicism and Christian Orthodoxy have become popular lately. I see the appeal of tradition and ancient beliefs as the obsession with Zionism seems to be pushing some Christians out of the church.

The political agenda of Zionism is what pushed me into asking so many questions and seeking only truth. I want to understand and know God.

Today, I know that I know this:

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 NIV

It’s simple. And it’s everything. With all the complexities and information surrounding us, the one thing that matters eternally is really this simple. Maybe it doesn’t need a label or brand of Christianity.
